Thanks.

for customer service i look at the # of interactions, #questions/ problems resolved. Most of the metrics are exactly what you have been tracking in different channels. What i have learned is that social is really just part of the mix.

Good luck in your new role.

dirk

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

This is great content Dirk. This whole blog is just what I was looking for as I am the newly appointed Social Media guy at my company.

I am more focused in the customer service area, so I'm curious of what key metrics you watch in this space?

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

Hi Warren..

Thanks.. I think there is a correlation (at least for me) to experimentation and having the ability to step back understand how and what social activity can influence.

Dirk

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

Dirk, another beauty! I strongly agree that we need to migrate beyond reporting statistics and instead provide key performance indicators that provide actionable insights into business performance.

Thanks for the shout-out to Radian6.

Warren Sukernek
Director of Content Marketing
Radian6
@warrenss

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

Hi There. Most of the reporting of rt's i get from using Radian6. I have seen a few different tools that track retweets, what i have found useful for measuring reach is called tweetreach.

Hope this helps.

dirk

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

I agree that it is important to keep track of monthly social media reports. It is an awesome way to see those numbers rise and also to take note on what you need to work on. Is there are certain tool you use to keep track of how many RTs, mentions, and @s without going through and counting them all?

Thanks for the tips!

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

Hey Aaron.

Glad you found this useful.

dirk

Re: How do you report social media sucess?

In the process of building out a monthly dashboard for social analysis and this was tremendously helpful!
